**What the role is**
- Public Transport Council
At the Public Transport Council, we strive to bring about a quality and affordable public transport system for the people of Singapore by regulating public transport fares and ticket payment services. Established in 1987 under the Public Transport Council Act (Cap 2598), we operate within the ambit of the Public Transport Council Act and in accordance with overarching public transport policies.
**What you will be working on**
- Responsibilities:
- Review the procurement framework and put in place control measures to ensure compliance with government procurement policies and regulations.
- Administer and support procurement function (including reviewing procurement tenders and quotations submissions) for the requesting divisions and any other related tasks.
- Provide financial operations support to divisions in the areas of funding, payments, official claims, and budget tracking / reporting. This also includes allocation, utilisation of funds and resources.
- Provide financial governance through administration of finance policies and control measures, including preparation of the annual financial statement.
- Handle internal and external audit queries on finance and procurement matters.
**What we are looking for**
- Requirements
- Relevant training in Accounting, Finance or business-related discipline
- At least 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Good understanding of government accounting, resource management policies
- Experience in government procurement and familiarity with IMs will be advantageous.
- Proficient and hands-on experience in the GeBIZ System
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral communications skills
- Strong project management skills
