**About the team**

As a global team, we span across Australia, China, USA, and Singapore, revolutionizing applied data science, data engineering and platform solutions to support Airwallex's rapid growth. You will collaborate with a diverse range of cross-functional partners, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and more, to tackle complex data problems and shape the future of fintech.

**What you’ll do**

We’re seeking a passionate, experienced Data Science Manager to lead our Growth Analytics team. This team drives data-driven decision-making and builds solutions that accelerate Airwallex’s growth. You will be a strategic partner to cross-functional leaders across Growth, Sales, Marketing, and Product to identify opportunities, optimize strategies, and unlock scalable growth using data science and analytics.

This role is based in Singapore.

**Responsibilities**:
- Operate as a strategic thought partner with Growth, Marketing, Sales, and Data Science leaders to define and implement Airwallex’s growth strategy-
- Establish insight-driven approaches to address key business problems and drive business impact- Build scalable measurement frameworks that enable consistent, data-driven decision-making across teams and inform growth strategy- Clearly and persuasively communicate data insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring findings influence stakeholders at all levels- Translate open-ended business problems into clearly defined data science initiatives for the team to implement- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing and inclusive team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative environment

**Who you are**

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

**Minimum qualifications**:
- 8+ years industry experience and a degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, Computer Science, Economics). Advanced degree (PhD or MS) preferred- 2+ years of management experience in data science or data analytics- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders across functions-
- Strong skills in SQL and Python/R; experience with data modeling a plus

**Preferred qualification**:
- Experience in technology, financial services and/or a high growth environment is advantageous
