Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood has an opportunity for a Civil & Structural Designer, preferrably experienced in Oil & Gas Sector. There is an increased thrust to deliver our services for the growing Asian market. As a result of this, Civil & Structural Department operation is expanding and evolving to manage the challenges of regional projects through a global talent pool.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support Lead Engineer / Designer with high quality and timely completion of the assigned work within the established work hour budgets for the assigned project.
- Ensuring design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities, specifications, procedures, etc. produced.
- Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, standards.
- Ensuring modelling, design and drafting activities are carried out within the established schedule and within allocated Manhours.
- Ensure implementation of all applicable comments from Discipline Engineers / Lead Designer and other discipline Engineers / Designers in the model / drawings, and ensure discipline engineer / Lead Designer checked before next revision issued.
- Assist Lead Designer for proper maintenance of up to date drawing / design deliverable register, drafting master files for issued, day and superseded files, check prints, drawing check list, vendor equipment GA and other discipline stick files, etcin accordance with relevant Civil Technical Practices.
- Assisting the project team in site walk-down survey and site walk through with other discipline engineers / Designers and Client representatives if situation required in resolving discipline issues until construction completion.
- Ensure that the 3D model for the assigned works represents satisfactory design practice, maintain clash free model.
- Assist in Material Take off (MTO) extracting from 3D model and computation from 2D deliverables as and when required.
- To be part of field engineering team as per project need.
- Prepare and submit as-built drawings.

Skills / Qualifications:

- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering with more than 3 years of experience in Pharmaceutical / Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical / Power Plant Projects
- Strong knowledge & working experience in 3D Software like Tekla / Revit / Frameworks Plus. Experience in SP3D / E3D is an added advantage
- Experience in Tekla Structures with Structural Steelworks / Concrete reinforcement modelling and Bar Bending Scheduling work
- Strong knowledge & working experience in AutoCAD / Microstation
- Knowledge in Local Civil & Structural Permitting Requirements and experience in BIM modelling
- Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
- Possess good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills
- Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude and a desire to win
- Ability to promote an open and informal communication environment that aims at growing mutual trust and teamwork
