Civil Structural Design Expert

Job Summary:

  • A seasoned Civil and Structural Design Engineer with expertise in designing standalone structures, building frameworks, and geotechnical designs.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design of standalone structures, ensuring project objectives are met with precision.
  2. Collaborate on building framework designs, including the development of detailed structural plans.
  3. Undertake geotechnical design responsibilities, leveraging existing experience or acquiring new skills as needed.
  4. Supervise supporting engineers in executing civil, structural, or geotechnical designs.
  5. Oversee drafting teams to ensure production of high-quality drawings aligned with project specifications.
  6. Plan and coordinate scopes of work, including design, drawing production, authority submissions, and construction support to facilitate project success.
  7. Work collaboratively as a team member, engaging with clients and coordinating with consultants from other disciplines and contractors to achieve project goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in concrete and steel structure design, and temporary works design.
  • Thorough knowledge of local codes of practice and regulations required for submissions to authorities.
  • Strong proficiency in essential structural design software, including ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, SAP 2000, and MIDAS.
