**Job Description**:

- The Principal Business Analyst for Sales Operations is responsible for delivering IM business analysis services in support of strategic programs and business initiatives for the shopping business. In this role, you will act as a product owner and drive the design of new enhancements of solutions and being responsible of adapting software functionality to continuous business improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role is responsible of developing a structured concept to maintain a knowledge data base accessible only to the internal IM Team. The scope of work will vary in magnitude from working on discreet business processes, supporting complex enterprise-level programs, and running mid
- to large-sized projects.

**KEY TASKS**
- Evaluate and put into practice improvement and business transformation initiatives
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency
- Analyse and re-engineer business processes, utilizing an understanding of business problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment, in support of strategic initiatives
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to elicit detailed business requirements using a variety of techniques, including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process workflows, prototypes, storyboards, and use case scenarios
- Mentor and guide project team members
- Evaluate business requirements, decompose high-level information into functional requirements, validate that requirements are based on business needs rather than user preferences, reconcile conflicts, and then document the functional requirements
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and with external vendors to achieve project goals
- Set and continuously manage customer expectations to ensure clarity of communication
- Conduct presentations of proposals or plan for company executives
- Qualifications
- An undergraduate qualification (Bachelor's degree or equivalent), ideally in a business degree (Computer Science, Management, Social Sciences).
- Desirable: It would be advantageous to have a post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity

**Role-specific knowledge**:

- Physical commodity trading / metals & mining domain knowledge
- Good grasp of:

- Physical contract capture (including complex pricing models)
- Contract confirmation process
- Planning and scheduling (logistics),
- Invoicing (import and export LC, discounting among others)
- Driving improvements and implementation of the Sales Ops specific reporting tools across commodities
- Exposure to account treatments and month end processes - desirable
- Understanding of intercompany activities (transfer pricing) - Back office and ERP (SAP) integration - desirable
- Functional knowledge of CTRM solutions (specific Aspect, systems knowledge - desirable) - Proficiency in English
- Should be highly self-motivated, hardworking, an innovator, and proactive in finding solutions
- Creative, presentable, open-minded and willing to adapt and take on new challenges
- Good communication and public speaking sills
- Leadership and motivational skills
