**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The role is responsible to support all aspects of student recruitment and supporting PGPP outreach in Vietnam markets in compliance with local laws and regulations. The role will report to the Director, Overseas Centre Ho Chi Minh City (OCHCMC). Based in Ho Chi Minh City.
- Market Development:
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to recruit high-quality postgraduate students from Vietnam to SMU.
- Create robust channel development strategies with relevant universities in Vietnam to ensure a strong pipeline of leads for postgraduate students for SMU.
- Work with relevant institutions to support student lead generation efforts.
- Devise strategies to expand marketing channels among student bodies, alumni, university representatives, government and education agents.
- Be accountable for meeting postgraduate student recruitment targets in Vietnam.
- Partnership Development:
- Diversify lead generating sources by establish new business-to-business partnerships with organizations and institutions to encourage postgraduate recruitment from corporate entities.
- Collaborate with local and regional partners, alumni, and government bodies to build and manage networking resources.
- Collaborate with colleagues at OCHCMC to share corporate resources and promote OneSMU culture to foster deeper engagement among partner organizations.
- Marketing and Outreach:
- Organize and manage coffee chats, information sessions, and other networking outreach events to strengthen awareness of SMU in Vietnam.
- Collaborate with SMU's marketing team to develop localized marketing strategies, promotional materials, and digital campaigns tailored for the Vietnamese market.
- Leverage social media and other digital platforms to increase SMU's visibility and engagement in Vietnam.
- Monitor and analyse recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities, market trends, and student feedback for continuous improvement.
- Design, lead and execute impactful yield strategies for postgraduate prospective students.
- Provide logístical and administrative support for events, roadshows, and recruitment activities.
- Provide support to SMU stakeholders as directed by Centre Director, OCHCMC.
- Compliance:
- Conduct business operations under local law and regulations.
- Driving initiative following SMU's business principles, legal and communication guidelines.
- Working with Centre Director, OCHCMC and OAFA in setting KPIs, Goals, possess the agility to adapt by developing options as priorities change.
- Other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- A Master's degree is a plus.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in student recruitment, international education, marketing, or similar roles.
- In-depth knowledge of the Vietnamese higher education markets
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven networking skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, acting as a positive brand ambassador for SMU in Vietnam.
- Self-driven and results-oriented, capable of working independently with mínimal supervision.
- Willingness to work on weekends and travel frequently within Vietnam and occasionally to Singapore.
- Strong time management skills, able to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
- Commercial acumen to identify and evaluate new business opportunities for lead generation.
- Effective stakeholder management and cross-cultural experience to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
