**About our group**:
RMO Material Science Laboratory’s primary mission is to provide analytical test solutions to enable media and substrate process and product qualification as well as product yield, quality and reliability. The team also serves a critical role on HDM tribology, material characterization, contamination and defect reduction, working closely with and enabling other functions in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Recording Technology, R&D, Customer Interface and Manufacturing. This role will report to an Engineering Manager.

**About the role - you will**:
Task to work on TOF-SIMS analysis and develop methodology focus on media lube, surface chemistry and interface characterization. Be a team member of analytical expertise and deploys technical solution for product development and media process engineering.
- Perform material science lab test and hands on operation laboratory analytical instruments e.g. Tof-SIMS for lubricant chemistry, solvent & surface contamination characterization.
- Work in a team that develops and deploys technical solution to meet the CTQ and reliability requirements of hard disc drive
- Work closely with the design functional groups to provide high-level support to product engineering team

**About you**:

- Self-motivated achiever with innovative in Materials Science/Chemistry/Nanotechnology
- Proficient problem-solver with analytical skills to evaluate risks and business strategies
- Influential interpersonal communicator, negotiator and presenter
- PhD / Master Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Material Science

**Your experience includes**:

- Specialize in surface techniques & analysis, polymer/ coatings/material characterization
- Accomplished lab skills, including operation of analytical spectroscopic and data analytics techniques
