Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate new projects to develop and validate novel platform technologies for the RCE.
- Method development for detection and quantification of various types of biomolecules, particularly lipids, proteins and peptides, amino acids and Oligos
- Lead and manage a minimum of 2 projects, including planning, strategizing, budgeting, project execution, hiring of staff and management of team to achieve project goals.
- Training and development of researchers.
- Evaluate and review data, assay validation, and decision making and strategize next plan of action to achieve best results with available resources.
- Report writing and presentations to keep stakeholders updated on progress.
- Work closely with colleagues across cross-functional teams and departments to support the center’s KPI.

Job Requirements:

- Ph.D. in Materials Science or a relevant field, with extensive experience in peptide science, peptide materials, including the design, synthesis, modification and bioconjugation of peptides.
- Demonstrate ability to devise and execute novel approaches to tackle problems with unconventional solutions.
- Demonstrate experience in translational research work.
- Possess industry experience preferably in a leadership role, demonstrating good team management skills to lead and train a scientific team.
- Demonstrate ability to lead multiple projects while meeting KPIs in a timely manner.
- Possess experience in business development, market research and ability to liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organization and attention to detail; ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation, communication and engagement skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and takes initiative to effectuate cultural change when required.
- Proven ability to develop and work independently and collaborate cross-functionally to accomplish goals in a timely manner.
- Good publication records, with a minimum of 2 corresponding authorship.
- Lab operations management experience.
