**Job overview**

The Marine Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management decisions, overseeing the strategic development and executing the long and short term strategic plans of the Marine Business Line within Asia Pacific.

**Responsibilities**:

- Day to day running of Marine Warranty and Rig Moving projects, ensuring schedules and budgets are met
- Prepare tenders and proposals for offshore MWS, Rig Moving and Marine Consultancy
- Plan execution of projects including scope, deliverables and schedule manpower resources. Oversee progress and deliverables for projects
- Support the Regional Management team in growing the Offshore Projects
- Maintain and develop new and existing clients through appropriate proposition and relevant liaison to optimise quality of service, business growth and client satisfaction
- Lead, motivate and grow the existing marine team
- Implement and continuously improve work processes to deliver excellence
- Ensure all operations, deliverables and quality of reports are in accordance with approved instructions, and ABL procedures and policies
- Abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with the applicable laws and the Company’s standards and policies including its QHSE policies
- Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

**Requirements**:

- Master Mariner (STCW class 1) or equivalent with significant offshore related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive Marine Warranty / Rig Move experience
- Fully conversant with marine and engineering consultancy to the offshore oil and gas markets
- At least 10 years relevant experience within the Offshore Industry with at least 5 years hands-on tow master / marine representative experience
- Experience in executing mid-scale executive business plans and project development
- Exposure to pilotage, vessel inspections and/or warranty surveys
- Full technical understanding of the offshore marine and engineering consultancy business ideally within an operational management role
- Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
- Project orientated with a keen interest in offshore engineering and marine management
- Established network within the region
- Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and appropriate professional image
- Well organised and self-directed individual with strong business/commercial skills
- Outgoing and pragmatic with strength of character, proactive and insightful with good management skills
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility towards working hours
- Willingness to travel (including offshore) and work within a variety of time zones
