
Cost Control Manager

Develop and maintain cost control framework and management reporting for vessel maintenance, vessel dry-docking, vessel modification/upgrading and other project activities etc. To ensure the completeness and accuracy of costs are reported on timely basis.
The employee’s responsibilities are not limited to:
- Liaise with Technical to set up Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and establish the budgets for each AFE as benchmarking at WBS level.
- Monitor and update the actual cost work performed and cost commitment weekly from ABS NSE and SAP and analyze the costs.
- Verify cost allocation accordingly to WBS and ensure the cost and budget are measurable and assessable at the same WBS level.
- Identify variances and forecast the estimates at completion and report them accordingly.
- Work with Technical and Operation to identify and maintain change orders, budget transfer and trends and prepare the supporting documents.
- Work with Technical and Operation to identify the risk and opportunities and provide the mitigation plan.
- Prepare weekly/monthly cost and status reports for vessel dry-docking, modification/upgrading and other activities requested by project customers etc.
- Conduct weekly/monthly cost reviews and analysis to identify cost optimization and improvement areas.
- Work with Finance and Procurement for alignment on cost control objective.
- Promote the cost awareness and good practices to Technical and Operation teams.
- Participate ABS NSE and SAP system improvement.
- Degree Holder in Engineering or Science, alternative Diploma in Engineering, or Science or Accounting and Finance with longer working experience (>12 years in oil and gas industry)
- Proficiency in project cost control management with strong reporting and effective communication skills
- 10 years relevant working experience preferably.
- Good analytical skill with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound recommendation.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to meeting deadlines and objectives.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
