Job Description:
**Salary Range: $5,300 - $7,000**
**Working hours: 9.00am 5.00pm (Mon-Fri)**
**This is a 1 Year Renewable Contract.**
**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
- In conjunction with Country Manager Singapore/ Malaysia, develop, implement and evaluate marketing programs in Singapore and Malaysia to promote Australia as a holiday destination
**ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Marketing and Partnership**
- Manage and deliver on Tourism Australia marketing and partnership strategies focused on growing visitation and yield from Singapore and Malaysia.
- Undertake cooperative campaigns with key distribution partners to increase awareness and bookings to Australia.
- Increase Australias presence in trade itineraries.
- Organize trade familiarization tours within assigned budget.
- Educate the travel trade through seminars, sales calls and functions.
- Represent Tourism Australia at seminars, trade events and business forums.
- Work with Tourism Australia, BE Perth and Study Perth to identify and leverage destination marketing opportunities that drive visitation and yield.
- Pursue cooperative Australia industry support for marketing campaigns in identified markets.
- Provide market intelligence including trade and consumer advice to Australian tourism operators.
**Leadership and Team Work**
- Work with the Country Manager Singapore/Malaysia to monitor and review team performance to ensure achievement of departmental goals.
- Ensure a collaborative approach is taken with the Tourism team to ensure the performance supports Tourism strategic goals and outcomes.
**Other**
- In conjunction with the Country Manager Singapore/ Malaysia, manage contract management activities including budgets
- Evaluate and report on project results, processes, assess risks and financial outcomes.
- Input into performance report making recommendations for future improvements.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
**Essential**
- Considerable experience in developing and implementing consumer and trade marketing campaigns and conversion programs.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation.
- Considerable experience in building and sustaining collaborative relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and uses network to facilitate broad support to achieve organizational objectives.
- Considerable experience in identifying strategic market priorities, utilizing resources and budgets to maximize the achievement of business objectives.
- Preparedness to undertake frequent travel.
**Desirable**
- Proficiency in Mandarin and Malay will be highly desirable. (To communicate with counterparts in Malaysia and Mandarin speaking counterparts)
- Sound understanding and knowledge of current trends and issues in the travel and tourism industry.
**CAPABILITIES**
- Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent and time constrained projects within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve project outcomes.
- The ability to engage and influence others through effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate information clearly and accurately and resolve conflict with stakeholders at all levels.
- Interpersonal skills (including well developed ability to negotiate, facilitate, present information develop relationships and networks).
- Proven ability to liaise, establish and maintain positive working relationships and build networks with a diverse range of people.
