**The Opportunity -- Permanent, Full Time Position**

Reporting to the General Manager Aluminium and Derivatives this role will be responsible for coordinating the book management and sales activities of the commodity and other Marketing functions and South32 assets to ensure effective implementation of the marketing strategies and manage stakeholder engagement.

**Accountabilities of the role**:

- Manages, engages, and enables stakeholders to deliver against performance targets.
- Provides input to S&OP, annual placement plan under Marketing objectives and budget, drives performance and implementation accordingly.
- Provides guidance to General Manager on book management, risk management and relevant mitigating actions.
- Balances the commodities’ physical book and related sales and trading activities in line with agreed marketing objectives and strategies.
- Manages internal and external legislative, reporting, governance and compliance requirements.
- Provides inputs to the General Manager on strategy
- Represents the commodity externally with customers and industry counterparts
- Cultivates a collaborative relationship with other Marketing Functions, Operational Functions and South32 Asset teams to optimise business performance
- Visibly promote a culture that embodies care, trust, togetherness and excellence.

**About You**
- Experience in a similar role, in sales/marketing roles in commodity markets, both domestically and internationally within the resources sector
- Experience in book management and planning
- Experience in sales/marketing roles in commodity markets
- Experience in the relevant Aluminium market is advantageous

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in a commercial, economic, technical and/or relevant business discipline
- Fluent English communication skills both verbal and written
- Knowledge of other languages relevant to the Aluminium market is advantageous
