### **Position Summary**

Lead the drafting team to produce accurate technical drawings for structural steel projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications, fabrication feasibility, and industry codes.

### **Key Responsibilities**
- **Team & Workflow Management**
- Assign/review drawings for bridges, buildings, and machinery components using AutoCAD/Tekla.
- Establish deadlines and quality standards; mentor junior drafters.
- **Technical Oversight**
- Verify drawing compliance with AISC standards, AWS codes, and client specifications.
- Resolve design conflicts through collaboration with engineers and project managers.
- **Process Improvement**
- Implement new software (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks) and optimize drafting protocols.
- Document historical data to standardize production rates.

### **Work Environment**
- Office-based with occasional workshop visits for design validation.
- Flexible hours supporting project milestones; remote work options for 30% of tasks.
