Singapore Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Full time

a) Work closely with business to foster business partnering by providing finance support and communicate actively with various departments to ensure timely and accruate provision of business information for financial, management and head office reporting,

b) assist in Finance BAU tasks including nostro reconciliation and systems daily close, monthend journals, monthend reconciliations and foreign currency hedging,

c) Update Finance BCP contact list, annual BCP strategy and participate in DR drills,

d) Coordinate and liaise with other teams on SOX, JSOX and any internal/external audit queries,

e) Perform monthly, quarterly, half-yearly analysis of financial information and half-yearly profit estimate,

f) Complete annual close of local statutory financial statements, act as coordinator for Long Form report for Finance team and provide information per external auditors; requests,

g) Provide feedback on ad hoc queries or new product consutlation,

h) Actively look for process improvements and system automation opportunities in existing work functions and

i) Adaptable and flexible with ad-hoc reporting responsibilities and leave cover within Finance team on Operational Accounting, Head Office reporting, Management Accounting and IFRS Reporting

**Requirements**:

- Degree/Diploma in Accountancy
- At least 3 years working experience in financial or management reporting in Bank/Non-bank Financial Institution
- Proficient in MS Office. Advanced level in Excel, basic working knowledge with Macros is a must
- Good knowledge of banking products and services
- Meticulous, with an eye for detail
- Team oriented, able to work under tight timelines

**Requirements**:
