RELATIONSHIP

Reports to Engineer (Industrial Services).
- PURPOSE OF JOB

To operate and maintain steam boilers, air compressors, water chillers, cooling towers and cooling water pumps, air handling units, in good and efficient working condition for smooth operation of production processes.
- DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates boiler, chiller, compressor, water softener, RO plant, cooling tower, drinking water and cooling water pumps. Ensure that it works properly in a safe, efficient and economical manner.
- Perform routine scheduled inspection of general services equipments.
- Monitor and analyse the quality of boiler water, feed water, soft water, condensate return and ensure they are within the limits.
- Monitor and analyse the quality of chilled water and cooling water for correct PH and TDS value.
- Perform daily inspection check list.
- Is responsible for the cleanliness of the boiler house area and does the cleaning according to the daily cleaning schedule.
- Proficient in workshop practice.
- Have the required basic skill in the service and operation of hydraulic and pneumatic system.
- Carry out repair / improvement work whenever necessary.
- Possess troubleshooting skills on equipment problem and restore back equipment to basic condition.
- Support and ensure compliance of equipment under statutory inspection.
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

4. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Possess 2nd grade SBE (steam boiler engineer) certificate issued by the MOM.

**1st class SBA (steam boiler attendant) may be considered**
- NITEC Intermediate in Mechanical Servicing.
- Experience in Mechanical servicing

5. SKILLS
- Knowledge of basic working English and IT
- Safety
- Good Manufacturing Practice
