Global Investment Operations is responsible for the development of the firm's operating infrastructure to support BlackRock's investment businesses worldwide. IO establishes and coordinates operational processes and procedures internally and externally with clients, custodians, prime brokers, broker-dealers and other vendors, and manages BlackRock's broker-dealer and custodian bank relationships.

**Team Overview**:
**Role Responsibility**:
This is an Analyst role based in our Gurgaon office. The role will be multi-functional commensurate with our primary objectives to ensure all Corporate Event related activity within our portfolio universe is captured, validated, elected (voluntaries) and any subsequent entitlements, cash or stock, are correctly processed and received timely. Responsibilities will extend to management of asset restrictions throughout the event life cycle and liaison with BlackRock’s Global Custodian network.
- Ensure all corporate Action events are validated.
- Monitor Corporate action Manager (CAM) and Aladdin Dashboards.
- Investigate & resolve all reconciliation exceptions.
- Participate in local, regional & global initiatives / projects in conjunction with the Global corporate Actions team.
- Manage any queries received from both internal and external partners.
- Support the global "pass-the-book" strategy and build positive relationships with Global Corporate Actions colleagues.
- Manage workload and determine appropriate priorities to ensure the completion of work in an effective and risk controlled manner.
- Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness when faced with business challenges or obstacles.
- Raise all material risk items and service issues on a timely basis.
- Challenge the status quo and build partnerships with internal and external parties to drive innovation, improve performance and the client's experience.
- Understand flow of client and fund information and data between various groups and systems.
- Become a student-of-the-market to keep abreast of industry and market developments. Understand the full scope of BlackRock's business beyond own unit.
**Experience**:**
Knowledge/Experience**:

- Minimum of 0 to 3 years’ experience in a current Corporate Action role and have a broad understanding of Financial Markets and the regulatory framework governing Investment Management or, a Global Custody environment.
- Demonstrate a track record in change management through project work or other process efficiencies.
- Experience in Derivative Products, Securities Lending or Fund Accounting would be an advantage in this role.
**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Acute attention to detail and understanding of downstream processes.
- Possess a good understanding of the risks inherent in the corporate actions environment and demonstrate good discipline around control and raising issues.
- Demonstrate appropriate levels of academic achievement or relevant work experience
**Competencies**:

- Possess a high level of self-motivation and flexibility.
- Demonstrate an affinity for teamwork and to contribute as a partner within a distributed team.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate constructively at all levels.
- Be highly organized, focused with practiced skills in operating effectively to tight deadlines within a high risk and high volume environment.
