The Global Risk and Compliance Team operates across three regional hubs, led by the firm's General Counsel, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer based in the London office.

**THE ROLE**

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Conflicts Analyst to join our Global Risk Team. The role will support the Senior Risk Lawyer and Conflicts and Risk Manager with conflicts analysis, escalations and reporting. The role is principally focused on conflicts of interest.

The role will require knowledge of applicable professional conflicts rules and a good understanding of the client base and nature of work and transactions undertaken by Walkers. Although based in Asia, the role will be global and may be required to support other offices as required. Full training will be provided but the successful applicant will be expected to supplement this with independent reading and remain up-to-date with relevant activity in the market.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist with the allocation of incoming work and prioritising urgent matters
- Assist with the preparation of training materials and deliver training for team members and legal teams
- Assist with drafting, updating and maintaining conflicts-related documentation, including manuals, policies, procedures and templates, as well as other internal communications.
- Provide support to the business as the first point of escalation in the conflict checking process.
- Review and analyse conflict reports, determining any actual or potential, legal or commercial conflicts of interest.
- Draft recommendation reports for the Conflicts Committee with details of the conflict or potential conflict, and a recommended course of action.
- Assist with answering conflict queries from the business.
- Assist with the drafting of conflicts and confidentiality waivers.
- Assist the Senior Risk Lawyer and Chief Risk Officer with local, regional and global conflicts projects as required.
- Provide valuable and reliable advice and support to partners within the Asia offices.
- Be a figurehead in Asia for the Risk Team, helping to instil a positive risk culture within the firm.
- Carry out any other duties commensurate with the purpose of the role, including the performance of duties outside working hours when required and work in a flexible manner.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
- Graduate with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an international risk and compliance function role with a focus on conflicts of interest.
- Practical knowledge and experience of preventing, identifying and managing conflicts of interest.
- Knowledge of professional conflicts rules.
- Experience using Intapp or a similar onboarding tool is preferred.
