The OpportunityA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of P&C PPM, APAC. You will be responsible in assisting being a strategic resource and the natural link between Finance and Business Leadership teams as well as local executive teams to provide insight into underlying performance and issues for the business in delivering the P&C business across APAC.
- Job Requirement- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance or equivalent field
- Relevant experience in Finance and/or performance management
- Expertise in General insurance with good knowledge of business and products
- Strong analytical and leadership skills coupled with good financial acumen
- Good interpersonal, collaboration, communication, planning, organizing skills
- Familiar with typical Finance systems and digital reporting solutions
- Proficient in English
- Job Accountabilities- Be a natural link between Finance and Business Leadership teams as well as local executive teams to provide insight into underlying performance and issues for the P&C businesses across APAC.
- Lead the development of the P&C business strategy and other initiatives from a finance perspective through provision of expert commercial and financial analysis.
- Lead the annual budget/planning and regular forecast process for P&C businesses across APAC through close work with the business. Ensure outputs are robust and completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that strategic and financial plans are aligned and required actions for delivery are in place and can be measured.
- Guide country planning & performance management (PPM) teams to deliver detailed, actionable insights relating to all aspects of financial performance in order to enhance business decision making.
- Provide commercial and financial guidance to local business units to ensure delivery of strategic objectives and financial targets.
- Where necessary, develop and communicate initiatives to address any performance gaps.
- Continually challenge the status quo to assist with identifying new business initiatives that will enhance business performance
- Job Functions- Develop and lead relationships with key stakeholders including business leadership and local executive teams to create smooth channels for communicating performance issues that may be of a sensitive nature.
- Keep abreast of key, relevant industry trends and articulate potential impact on performance relative to competitors.
- Deliver insight that supports strategic decision making and represent the APAC P&C planning and performance management function at appropriate forums
