Position Overview:
As a Commodity Management Manager with a focus on contract management, you will play a vital role in overseeing the procurement and contract negotiations for critical commodities within our engineering processes. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Your expertise in commodity management and contract negotiation will drive operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives, emphasizing contract management.
- Identify and qualify potential suppliers, conduct market analysis, and maintain an up-to-date supplier database.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand commodity requirements and align sourcing strategies with contract provisions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance and resolving any contractual issues.
- Implement and manage contract management systems to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Monitor and analyze commodity market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier capabilities.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations, driving continuous improvement and identifying areas for cost optimization.
- Oversee commodity inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and implement strategies to optimize inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commodity management and contract negotiation within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, contract management, and procurement best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of successful supplier negotiations.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
