We are currently seeking a creative, driven, and forward-thinking sourcing and procurement professional to join our Data Center Services Procurement team in APJC.
This role that focus on identifying and onboarding construction and associated CAPEX related professional services suppliers in emerging regions where we have a non-existent supplier base and revisit existing regions to ensure onboarding a sustainable supplier pool is maintained. You will be charged with creating emerging region sourcing plans and then quickly delivering results that enable internal teams to meet aggressive schedules. It will be critical that you identify new ways to forge partnerships with new suppliers, evaluate suppliers' performance against clearly defined metrics, and balance priorities of, both, Amazon and our suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. You will also ensure that supplier pool profiles are monitored for effectiveness to in turn ensure ongoing competitive sustainability.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Key job responsibilities
- Identify viable construction and professional services suppliers in new regions through customer & business partner collaboration and market research.
- Negotiate contract terms with new suppliers (new regions and where required in existing regions), and creating mechanisms to help them understand Amazon's business requirements.
- Establish new region supplier sourcing strategies and timelines that address specifics of each region including local language, ease of doing business with suppliers in-market, existing supplier availability, etc., and then acting as a project manager to drive the strategies to completion.
- Coordinate and communicate frequently and professionally with internal customers and stakeholders on the status of sourcing and procurement activities for new regions.
- Develop and lead supplier
- and customer-focused training that enable them to partner more closely with your business unit.
- Establish key internal metrics and utilize them to monitor and improve performance against business objectives, make informed business decisions and maintain sustainable supplier pools for future sourcing
- Drive process improvement initiatives that positively impact customers, stakeholders, and the team.
- Create procedures and tools and simplifying those that already exist.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience - Advanced degree (JD, MBA, International Business) - Fluent in languages beyond English. - Experience executing business transactions in multiple countries. - PMP, Six Sigma or similar certification. - Demonstrated success in a metrics-oriented environment and an ability to create, track, and report out on metrics - Experience supporting data center construction procurement or data center operations procurement.
