Avp, IT Project Manager

The IT Project Manager is responsible for project management, system requirement gathering, planning and introduction to cash management related systems like eBanking system in Singapore and APAC region, aligned to requirements of SMBC. He/she will work closely with stakeholders mainly from Japan head office, end users, system development departments, back-office departments and vendors to establish effective and efficient collaboration.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead projects for Cash Management systems to enhance the experience of collaboration, performance, security, and service level.
- Contribute to the development of Cash Management related systems
- Provide expertise to regional teams and foster collaboration with Japan Head Office stakeholders
- Provide timely escalation and resolution of major issues to Management and Head Office teams.
- Act as liaison between end users and IT team in local market and Japan Head Office to understand business requirements for Cash Management systems, design and implement new solutions or enhancements.
- Partner with customer’s planning section to ensure alignment of all platform architecture processes, standards, strategies and roadmap.
- Function as Business Analyst, understand and realize customer’s target business requirement and coordinate with internal teams, partners/vendors and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular project reports and documentations.
- Ensure project status and progress are communicated to stakeholders and IT teams in a timely and concise manner.
- Work out full-scaled and precise proposal with technical solution team, coordinate and communicate resources and define clear roles with all project resources.
- Assume agreed projects that may be assigned from time to time in tandem with business priorities/requirements

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent with min. 3 years’ experience in supporting IT Project Management in the banking sector
- In-depth knowledge on Project Management, Business or System Analysis.
- Proficiency in Japanese is highly preferred as this role needs to prepare reports in Japanese for reporting to Head Office in Japan. This role also needs to present and communicate with senior stakeholders who mainly communicate in Japanese.
- Knowledge in cash management and core banking system (interface between cash management and core banking system)
- Regional exposure in project management with exposure to both Singapore and Japan markets
- Min. 3 years of experience in supporting IT systems for Cash Management and Core banking systems
- Proven experience in solution, architecture and designing IT systems.
- Proven experience in collaboration and workgroup for project delivery.
- Prior working experience as an IT professional in banking or financial institution is an advantage.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, capable of managing stakeholders in projects.
- Experience in leading project with budget over USD1 million.
- Possess strong and assertive verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Strong influencing skills and collaborative team player
- Willing to take an ad-hoc project as necessary
