
Publishing & Content Creation Executive

This role reports to the Strategy Head and will be overseeing various aspects of the publishing process to ensure the successful creation, marketing, and distribution of books or other resources. The incumbent also supports content creation for social media marketing.

**Responsibilities**:
- Negotiate contracts with authors, agents, and other publishing partners.
- Collaborate with authors to shape the bible-themed content of the final publication
- Edit content including manuscript evaluation, developmental and copy editing, fact checking, proofreading etc.
- Create visually engaging layouts for print and digital publications.
- Manage projects including liaising with stakeholders, authors, translators, editors, graphic designers, printers to ensure timely project delivery.
- Develop and manage budgets for the publishing department, monitor expenses, revenue, and profitability of individual projects and the publishing program as a whole.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with authors, literary agents, and other key stakeholders in the publishing ecosystem
- Create Christian blog posts and recommended reads for websites
- Curate creative content for social media platforms
- Edit and prepare marketing collaterals using Photoshop/Illustrator software
- Highlight the company's brand story and various products features, functions and benefits to customers to increase brand awareness and sale
As a Christian organisation, employees will be required to attend work meetings and Christian fellowship meetings as part of team bonding and support, which start and end with religious activities such as prayers, words of worship and bible sharing. Non-Christian employees are not required to participate in religious activities.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline
- At least 2 years of professional copywriting or editorial experience, either as an editor, journalist, copywriter, or other content-driven roles
- Bible knowledge for copy writing of Christian resources
- Strong flair in writing, editing, and proofreading with impeccable grammar and style.
- Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
- Proficient in digital tools used in publishing and digital marketing, eg Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and Video editing skills
- Proficiency in the Chinese language and social media or content marketing experience is a plus
