- Oversee daily ship repair and conversion works onboard vessels
- Organize work to contractors of respective trades
- Record and document all work reports from start to end
- Monitor daily repair works, progress and manpower for each job
- Ensure that all repair works are carried out correctly and properly
- Ensure that works are carried out according to the work lists
- Ensure that additional jobs are added as V.O and signed by Owner’s Reps
- Promote safety awareness amongst all workers and contractors
- Attend toolbox meetings and VSCC meeting daily
- Ensure that service done must be accompanied by reports to be submitted
- Ensure that MTO is done before vessels’ arrival
- Instruct contractors on work to be done, such as removal of propeller shafting, oil seal, CPP, rudders etc.
- Mechanical work for intermediate docking and special survey docking requirement
- Main engine, aux engines, pumps, winches, capstan, hydraulic system, B/Thruster, Stern thrusters, S/G, vents fan, sea values etc.
- Monitor & records all works carried out & done
- Photos taking of all repair works before & after
- Record man-hours & manpower involve in each work performed
- To raise MTO related to your work & repair
- All VO must be signed off by owner before proceeding
- Capture all work done in WDR and sign off by owner
- Plan, organize, schedule work to be carried out with target completion date
**Job Requirements**
- NITEC in Mechanical Engineering & Marine Engineering discipline or equivalent
- Min. 5 years of experience in similar capacity
- Experienced and knowledgeable in ship repair works
- Well versed in mechanical repairs and ability to instruct contractors on mechanical repairs not limited to propeller, tailshaft, rudder, rudder stock, thruster, valve and pump
- Team player
Pay: Up to $5,000.00 per month
