**ABOUT SINGAPORE FLOORBALL ASSOCIATION
Singapore Floorball Association (SFA) is a National Sports Association (NSA) under Sport Singapore (SportSG), a member of Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), and the Singapore representative member of the Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation (AOFC) and International Floorball Federation (IFF).

Formed in 1995, SFA is now an IPC (Institution of a Public Character) charity organisation. It aims to encourage, develop and manage the sport of Floorball at national and international levels in Singapore, constantly working to increase participation in Floorball and provide more playing opportunities for Singaporeans of all ages. SFA also strives to promote Floorball to countries within the ASEAN region.

**POSITION**

**Head Coach, Singapore Women's National Team
Responsibilities for this role include crafting and implementing holistic coaching approaches, designing high-performance training programmes, establishing robust athlete tracking systems/selection processes, and spearheading talent identification initiatives and to ensure success in international competitions.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Primary Responsibilities
1. Formulate and execute yearly planning instrument (YPI) and season competition plans aligned with the strategic high-performance plan of SFA, focusing on players and floorball talents long term development.

2. Continuously assess and evaluate player performance, adjusting coaching strategies as necessary.

3. Develop comprehensive training programmes and platforms for national players to optimize performance in major international competitions and training activities.

4. Lead the holistic development of players in areas such as tactics, technique, physicality, and mentality, ensuring consistent feedback to players on their progress.

5. Collaborate with SFA's high-performance committee to establish talent development pathways across age groups, fostering a pipeline for national team and nation youth training centres.

6. Provide monthly reports to SFA's High Performance Committee and Technical Director on training outcomes and challenges, team performance analysis, and player progress.

7. Evaluate the effectiveness of programmes and plans, ensuring compliance with safesport practices and approved sport science and sport medicine standards.

8. Maintain and elevate the Daily Training Environment (DTE) at national training venues, ensuring a conducive and professional setting for player development.

**Additional Responsibilities
9. Support the SFA General Manager and High-Performance Committee in budget preparation and administrative management of training camps and competitions, including post-competition reporting.

10. Collaborate with SFA's Coaching & Development Committee and stakeholders to deliver effective training programs with updated coaching approaches and sport science techniques.

11. Assist in implementing coach education courses and development programs aligned with national coaching standards.

12. Contribute to SFA events and undertake duties within the SFA office as required by the General Manager.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Qualifications & Experience
1. Possess at least International Floorball Federation (IFF) Level 1 coaching qualification recognised by SFA or have completed SFA Level 2 coaching courses.

2. Preferably hold a sport coaching-related qualification (e.g., Degree in Physical Education or Sport Sciences) and certifications in strength and conditioning, sport psychology, or sport sciences.

3. Have a minimum of five (5) years coaching experience with an elite or premier league team, demonstrating a track record of team development across age groups and fostering positive team cultures. Experience in coaching players at major international tournaments is advantageous.

**Desired Skills & Knowledge
1. Extensive knowledge of floorball techniques, tactics, and strategies.

2. Thorough understanding of floorball developmental pathways, talent development, athlete pathways, and awareness of floorball trends.

3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate athletes.

4. Familiarity with local schools, floorball club teams, and culture.

5. Ability to integrate Sports Medicine and Science knowledge/resources into coaching and player development.

6. Skill in motivating individual players and adapting approaches to enhance team performance.

7. Strong analytical, evaluation, and planning skills.

8. High level of computer literacy preferred.
