We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Manager, Finance Operations.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Responsible for “General Insurance”, “Health” and “Employee Benefit” monthly financial close
- Supporting the VP with the overall monthly financial close
- Direct control oversight relating to premium receipts and claims process
- Supporting all remediating issues arising balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation review
- Work with various stakeholders in ensuring the quality of data that flows into the general ledger
- Supporting strengthening internal controls
- Support the Implementation of end user controls and maintain the annual controls
- Being involved in change initiatives and supporting the change delivery team with new system implementation related UAT review, parallel run testing and highlighting the finance operations process and controls findings
- Support the VP to collaborate with Group, Regional and other impacted stakeholders to implement processes to support embedding of FLOD (First Line of Défense) roles and responsibilities
- Guidance and support to the “Finance Operations” team on a wide range of issues
- Collaboration with the Finance Management team to understand the risks involved and support the Assurance Reviews accordingly to ensure there is coverage of key controls
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience with Finance qualification
- Familiar to insurance or financial services is preferred
- Understanding of the relevant internal risk management framework, including operational risk policies, SOX framework and knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services sector
- Ability to provide structure and solutions to problematic areas, to challenge information presented, providing explanations to ensure that agreement is reached by both parties
- Ability to multitask and manage various stakeholders as well as competing deadlines
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and an ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner
