**What the role is**
- Manage PAHQ operating accounts to meet timelines, closing due dates and statutory reports submissions.

Key duties and responsibilities that need to be performed to meet the primary objective of the job. This will include the important result areas (what) along with the rationale (why).
- Supervises sectional staff to ensure efficient and effective operation of the Operating Account Section.
- Oversees the daily collections and payments of PA Operating Account for proper cash management.
- Ensures prompt closure of accounts and preparation of monthly variance analysis for management.
- Maintains proper and accurate tracking of the various funds under PA Headquarters.
- Ensures prompt recovery of outstanding bills from various agencies; companies and grassroots organizations.
- Submits GST returns for PA Operating Account on a quarterly basis to comply with IRAS’s requirement.
- Coordinates and attends promptly to audit queries.
- Compiles and submits statistical or financial information returns to Government Departments.
- Reviews and updates PA financial policies and procedures to adopt the best practices and keep them relevant for staff’s use.
- Develops internal checks and controls, SOPs and templates to facilitate effective operation of PA accounts and improve quality of PA’s financial reporting and standards.
