**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- This position is for Centre for Research on Successful Ageing (ROSA).
- Research Planning and Implementation
- Utilise JavaScript coding skills for customizing Qualtrics surveys and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of survey data.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews on emerging technologies for longitudinal data collection (e.g. new technologies, releases, and patches that will enhance ROSA's work processes and services).
- Data collection
- Maintain IT systems, servers and databases based on ROSA's needs
- Oversee the implementation, deployment, and operation of servers (Windows and Linux), databases, and technology solutions to the Centre's needs.
- Ensure the security, backup, recoverability, and maintenance of servers, databases, and systems.
- Execute command line operations on both Windows PowerShell and Bash.
- Manage and maintain server health, including regular server administration tasks and tech refresh processes.
- Administer NAS backup processes to safeguard critical data.
- Implement and adhere to data security measures, including compliance with university policies, MOE & CSA requirements, and guidelines (e.g., Data Protection Officer, PDPA, etc.).
- Collaborate with the University's IT department to ensure compliance and implement necessary changes to the Centre's IT systems.
- Data analysis and outreach
- Automate daily reports for survey response rates and daily comments from survey respondents and highlight anomalies in the data collected.
- Assist the ROSA team in quantitative analysis for research briefs and publications.
- Prepare EDMs and maintain ROSA's mailing list for outreach efforts.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related.
- Proficiency in **MySQL **database management.
- Expertise in overseeing the implementation, deployment, and operation of **Windows and Linux servers, databases **, and technology solutions.
- Strong command line skills on both **Windows PowerShell and Bash **.
- Experience in **server and security management **.
- **JavaScript **coding skills for Qualtrics survey customisation.
- Knowledge and experience in **NAS backup **administration.
- Effective **collaboration **with the University's IT department.
- **Proven ability **to ensure the security, backup, recoverability, high availability, serviceability, and maintenance of servers, databases, and systems.
- **Proactive **monitoring of new technologies, releases, and patches.
- **Strong project management skills **for timely execution and adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
