Senior Accountant

This role will support the Finance Manager in running the finance team that provides support to John Crane Singapore and John Crane Malaysia.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Oversee the day to day financial operations of Singapore and Malaysian legal entities office including supervision of 3 staff
- Cash-flow management including monitoring weekly collections/payments, liaising with Group Treasury on monthly hedging functions and cash pool balance reporting
- Month end reporting : CRIS report, Smiths monthly cash reporting,
- Review Month end schedules
- Review payroll journal reconciliation
- Assist in preparing of monthly causal analysis reports
- Maintain Fixed Assets Register and conduct FA sighting
- Work with Operations on inventory cycle counting
- Monthly review of SAP controls as part of Risk Management
- Review and implement effective financial/accounting/internal control policies and procedures
- Focus on process improvements
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary on corporate returns for Singapore & Malaysia
- Review quarterly GST returns done by Accounts Executive
- Review Customers’ credit limits and credit terms
- Any other ad-hoc accounting related work as may be assigned from time to time.
- Take on special assignments which may include short overseas stints

**The Individual**
- Graduate in Accountancy or professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA) with at least 5 years of relevant experience and preferably the last 2 in a supervisory position.
- Good financial modeling skills with Excel and experience with SAP
- Technically competent with strong analytical, problem solving skills
- Able to work with high degree of independence, resourcefulness and personal drive
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to staff at all levels

**Salary & Benefits**

Annual salary range from S$56K to S$70K spread over 12 months. Will participate in company AIP scheme with max 25% max opportunity. Will be entitled to use of corporate mobile phone. Will enjoy all other benefits as per the company handbook such as various leave scheme, flexible benefit scheme, group insurance cover, etc.
