**Regional Trade Affairs Manager - Your future position?**
In this role, you will represent the Corporate Trade Affairs function in the region to support the Regional Management in implementing efficient and compliant procedures to import and export goods within the regions. You will be supporting the Regional Management in understanding trade affairs matters and implementing cost-saving opportunities in the region. Coordinate the activities and projects of local trade affairs representatives in the region. Provide technical expertise and support to sustain business growth.
**Main Responsibilities**:
**Trade Compliance**
- Accountable for implementing and monitoring a trade compliance program with the local trade representatives in the region
- Support local sites during Customs Compliance related audits
- Lobbying and participation in industry associations
- Develop and deliver training in trade-related matters to local sites and stakeholders
- Gather, assess, and interpret data to monitor and evaluate the performance of Customs brokers in the region
- Partnering with Logistics to ensure import/export compliance in daily operations
- Conduct periodic sample audit reviews on import/export activities
**Business Support**
- Support and help business to realize cost-saving opportunities
- Support the business in developing trade strategies to facilitate import/export in the region (Product introduction / Broker / Warehouse / Product transfer )
- Provide technical expertise to support the business in implementing import/export strategies with customers (“Trade Services for customers”)
- Lead regional trade-related projects
- Initiate and support where appropriate company participation and partnership in Supply Chain Security and Import Compliance Programs (i.e., AEO)
- Maintain awareness of import and export Regulatory changes and work with all stakeholders to communicate and update business requirements for uninterrupted supply
**Core Requirements**:
- With at least 5 years of experience in the relevant field
- Strong working experience in developing markets
- Good experience in Trade Compliance and/or a professional customs certification or a Customs broker license
- Fluency in English
- SAP knowledge desired
- Chinese language a plus
