Description

The Debug Project is seeking a motivated Field Operations Manager to support mosquito field operations in Singapore. You will work closely with a small energetic team of local and remote Technicians, Production Managers, Scientists, Software Engineers and Hardware Engineers to supervise processes, perform product tests, diagnosing problems and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve problems. Your role is to ensure effective, efficient release of mosquitoes to drive suppression of local mosquito populations. Your work on this project will contribute to the control of disease spreading mosquitoes, helping people to live longer, healthier lives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage field operations including but not limited to automated (van) and manual mosquito releases, mosquito trapping and analysis workflows, training coworkers on field operations and safety protocols, documenting protocols and processes, routine cleaning/ equipment maintenance, conducting field experiments and audits, updating SOPs and performing regular QC checks in collaboration with the appointed Quality Manager.
- Manage all vehicle maintenance and inspection schedules, managing downtime, optimizing fleet operations, driver training, utilization of vehicles and drivers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate, test, validate and maintain hardware essential for the effective operation of automated releases in designated release sites. Troubleshoot release hardware escalating issues to Science and Engineering Team colleagues as appropriate.
- Plan and drive timelines and schedules for hardware deployment, release and trapping activities, and labor allocation.
- A flexible approach to working in a unique fast paced field operations and R&D environment including regular weekend work and public holidays.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience working in a field operation setting.
- Demonstrated mechanical competence including experience with the set up and operation of industrial or scientific equipment and willingness to learn to operate and maintain specialized hardware.
- Experience with managing people, operations, and relationships; proven ability to handle ambiguity and to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams or alone.
- Demonstrated ability to document protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Degree in Biology or related field OR Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with GMP and quality management systems.
- Demonstrated data presentation and communication skills.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, results-oriented, biotechnology setting.
- Proven ability to execute quickly and creatively solve problems; detail oriented and meticulous.
