Acteon provides a range of industry-leading products and services to support marine and subsea projects for the renewable, nearshore construction and oil and gas sectors across all phases of the lifecycle. We are seeking an experienced Regional Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our dynamic Acteon team and play a pivotal role in enhancing our organizational culture and employee engagement. The primary purpose of this role is to translate regional business challenges and opportunities into People Plans which can be executed either directly, or in collaboration with the respective HR colleagues. This role will be based in our Acteon Offshore Marine Centre office on Tuas South Avenue, Singapore, with the option for some home working.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals, in close collaboration with global HR colleagues
- Lead and execute HR process improvement initiatives, ensuring they will fit and add value to ‘customer-focused’ approach to HR delivery to the business
- Empower, coach and enable Managers to take full responsibility for the leadership and management of their teams, developing leaders of the future
- Develop strong working relationships with the leaders in the region, identify talent early and provide development opportunities for all employees
- Manage the recruitment / selection process to attract top talent, and oversee employee onboarding
- Monitor and improve employee performance management systems
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and resolve workplace conflicts
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies
- Conduct regular assessments of HR practices to identify areas for improvement
- Provide market data research and analysis, recommendations for merit increases and bonuses based on regional budgets or specific contract requirements
- Utilise KPIs and metrics to provide insights to the business for workforce planning and organisation design and development
**Requirements**:
- Ideally, the incumbent will have at least 10 years of experience gained in progressive HR functions, where transformational change has been undertaken
- Technology is driving this area of HR and the incumbent must be fully proficient with IT combined with a track record of seeking out (and using) new and innovative uses to bring value to the field
- Extensive stakeholder management experience
- To be able to be credible coaching other managers, management experience is preferred
- International exposure is required, experience preferred
- A highly developed customer focus is essential as the experience provided to employees is key to the success of this role
- Excellent organizational skills, both planning and prioritizing is required along with an overwhelming drive to deliver best practice results
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Can-do, solutions focused approach essential
