Pet-chem Trader

Pet-chem Trader will work closely with the wider teams to build commodity business for the company. Commodity line is Aromatics and any other as may be required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop a summary of the commodity balance and the market dynamics.
- Develop market entry strategy for the commodities, and a road map from start to delivery.
- Establish relationship with counter-parties and trade commodities in the international market, both on spot and term basis.
- Build 3rd party trading alongside asset-based trading business.
- Manage risk of underlying assets using derivatives, and also gradually build spec paper book.
- P&L responsibility for the desk.
- Extend support in establishing phenol distribution model in the destination countries, if required.
- Support analytics team to build analytical models.
- Work together with the Operations team for handling the commodities.
- 5-8 years of relevant business experience in a similar role in a pet-chem industry.
- Aptitude for originating and trading commodities.
- Ability to work from strategy to execution of deals.
- Analytical skills and an eye for detail. Good communicator.
- Having good business relationships and ability to grow them.
- Independent, autonomous work attitude who is self-motivated and confident to challenge both supervisors and peers.
- High proficiency in EXCEL spreadsheet, Word, Power Point etc.
