As Senior Bid Finance Analyst you will lead the financial risk assessment of VGE’s most complex global deals. You will be integral to forming the bid strategy and will influence directly the end to end bid process; from qualification, to customer submission approval. And you will work as part of a Global team responsible for all financial valuation and risk assessment activities across multiple territories.
- Assist and advise key stakeholders on the structure and development of commercial strategies in order to maximise business profitability across complex multi-facetted commercial propositions spanning multiple geographies
- Act as the Finance Lead on high risk and complex bid opportunities, providing the financial risk and opportunity assessment
- Provide financial approval on bids within governance approval levels
- Work with Sales team to quantify account profit improvement plans
- Work with VGE Service and Delivery teams to understand and quantify implementation strategies, delivery risks and innovation opportunities
- Provide timely and appropriate recommendations to senior stakeholders when communicating key risks and mitigation solutions. Identifying and focusing on material items, often drawing conclusions without complete information
- Identify and develop improvements to drive operational and financial efficiencies within the bid process
- Provide ad-hoc decision support to finance projects. Such as; product development assessment, Investment decisions, systems improvements and accounting principles
- Responsible for ensuring Bid cost card methodologies and assumptions used in financial risk assessments are relevant, up to date and auditable. Quantifying changes and communicating to finance director to gain sign off
- Once a deal is signed, work closely with the VGE Finance contract accountants to ensure the right commercial structure and financial metrics are developed and implemented globally

**Technical / professional qualifications**:

- Qualified Accountant - ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent calibre business qualification
- Proven experience in blue chip, Global and Matrix organisations
- Proven experience in decision support / commercial analyst role, preferably in Telecoms/IT industry
- Proven track record of delivery in fast paced, changing environment
