To manage the provision of an effective and professional compensation and benefits service for all employees and stakeholders across the Southeast Asia and ANZ markets (Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand), through the development and maintenance of appropriate tailored solutions and working within defined APAC frameworks as necessary.
To partner with the local HR Business Partners, wider Disney C&B community and US-based Compensation/Benefits Partners in order to provide advice and guidance on the delivery of C&B initiatives/policies/processes in the local markets.
Note that this role places emphasis on expertise in the Employee Benefits space. Experience of policy-creation for employee benefits (including leaves, retirement savings plans, insurances and wellbeing) will be key to the role.
This role will need to be able to work with autonomy and deal with multiple diverse stakeholders within their own function and the wider business. An experienced professional who has worked across both the Compensation and Benefits disciplines, but with a niche for Employee Benefits, for large multinational corporations would be successful in this role.
**Responsibilities**:
- Will report directly to the C&B Lead for SEAANZ
- Assist with day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including handling renewals, payment processing, answering employee queries in a timely manner
- Updating company-wide documentation on benefits policies and coverage
- Partner with Regional HR Business partner & local HR, be familiar with the organisation structure of the businesses supported and act as an internal consultant on all projects/initiatives with a C&B impact.
- Work in partnership with equivalent peers across the international Disney Enterprise in order to establish efficient C&B processes which align global initiatives with local practice.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders (which include Regional Business heads, Regional HR Business Partner, WDI Comp, and local HR) to facilitate a true partnership enabling you to engage with and influence these stakeholders accordingly.
- Identify, develop/design, gain necessary approval and implement tailored reward solutions within agreed operating frameworks.
- Assist with the management of the overall delivery of the key compensation cycles for the Region (Merit, bonus, stock), working closely with Regional Business Partners, Local Compensation Community and Burbank to ensure provision of accurate consolidated regional data.
- Act as ‘Subject Matter Expert’ for identified areas: Employee Benefits, Retirement Savings Plans, Severance and Leaves
- Act as ‘Process Owner’ for identified area: Benefits Surveys, Benefits Policy updates - SEAANZ
- Working closely with the business and local HR/C&B, manage the deal development/negotiations on all reward packages using local benchmarking information and working within the agreed approval matrix
- Develop and/or maintain external networks at a Regional level to act efficiently as an expert in trends and comp initiatives for the SEAANZ market.
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrable experience in Benefits and/or Compensation at a senior professional level
- Proven experience of working in a multi-national, fast-paced, progressive commercial organisations
- Proven experience gained within a US multi-national or similar matrixed organisation
- Experience of working in the employee benefits sphere would be highly desirable
- Working experience with compensation & benefits employee data maintenance of an HRIS system
- Proficiency in/knowledge of compensation & benefits consultancy reporting tools and surveys would be an advantage
- A proficiency in/experience using HR Information Systems (Workday) would be an advantage
- Strong numerical and analytical skills is a necessity
- Inquisitive nature and thirst for learning
- High level accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is essential
- High level of IT literacy and use of Microsoft office packages would be an advantage
- Evidence of having successfully program managed large, complex projects or programs, achieving satisfaction & timeline objectives.
- Strong communication skills in the presentation of plans for review and approval, and in communication of plans to managers and employees.
- Specific APAC-wide experience would be highly advantageous
- Demonstrable experience of grasping issues quickly and delivering effective and efficient solutions
