The Housekeeping Manager will also be responsible for managing staffing levels, monitoring guest experiences, maintaining supplier relationships, managing budgets, and collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience throughout the hotel.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Engineering departments, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Plan and implement procedures for guest arrivals and departures, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.
- Manage and maintain the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating within the department and resolving guest problems or concerns in a timely manner.
- Manage staffing levels and scheduling for both Housekeeping and Engineering departments, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
- Continuously monitor and improve guest experiences by gathering and analyzing feedback through surveys and staff communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external suppliers and vendors to ensure the provision of quality products and services to guests.
- Manage budgets and control costs while maintaining the highest level of service for guests.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Sales, F&B, and Accounting, to ensure a cohesive guest experience throughout the hotel.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using computer software and systems related to housekeeping and maintenance management.
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control principles.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
