**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook a diverse range of Vietnamese-inspired dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and light dinner items.
- Develop and maintain a rotating seasonal menu that reflects our commitment to quality, fresh ingredients, and local sourcing, while staying true to traditional Vietnamese flavors.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Manage inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels, including conducting regular inventory checks, ordering supplies, and minimizing food waste.
- Collaborate with the cafe manager, head chef and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination and smooth daily operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and overseeing their performance.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order.
- Collaborate with the cafe manager on special events, catering, and promotions.
- Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and best practices, particularly within the realm of Vietnamese cuisine.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 0 to 2 years of professional cooking experience, with a focus on Vietnamese cuisine or similar Southeast Asian dishes.
- A culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and Vietnamese culinary traditions.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A genuine passion for Vietnamese / Southeast Asia food and commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences.
