**Job Description**:
**Our Client**:
Our client is a US-Listed Fortune 500 company and a leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of packaging products and containers. They are actively looking to hire a Regional Tax Manager to join their team in Singapore.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Managing all tax issues (direct and indirect tax) relating to entities in Asia-Pacific region including SOX compliance
- Managing the compliance tax work for the group in the Asia-Pacific region with a view to minimizing tax costs
- Responsible for monthly tax provisions, tax budgeting and ensuring compliance for local tax reporting and separately for US GAAP tax reporting
- Manages the regional team in Asia Division
- Reports directly to CFO, Asia division and be a business partner with the CFO
- Review of transfer pricing policy (TP)
- Liaises with US tax team including corporate reporting and updates on BEPS development
- Identify tax planning opportunities (e.g. tax incentives) and spearhead such opportunities, and support CFO in identifying optimal lending and holding structures, and advising on cross border tax and foreign exchange issues
- Work closely with Legal team in reviewing of agreements (e.g. supply, intellectual property licensing, consultancy) at regional level as well as BUs
- Be a business partner to other departments such as purchasing, manufacturing.
- Keep abreast with tax development in the Region

**The Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, in similar role
- Independent and good time management skills, and comfortable to work in fast-paced environment
- A team player with ability to work with people across functions and culture and
- with key stakeholders
- Possess good attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Ability to also read and speak in Chinese to be able to liaise and communicate effectively with native Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
- Experience in Big 4 firms is an advantage
