**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Portfolio Management**:Manage and oversee high-volume, small line size portfolios across APAC, ensuring alignment with Sompo’s overall business objectives.
- **Strategic Support**:Collaborate closely with local teams, offering guidance and support in portfolio management strategies tailored to regional needs.
- **Pricing Workflow Improvement**:Analyse and refine workflows to address inefficiencies and optimize accuracy for high-volume transactions.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- **Transition Responsibilities**:Smoothly transition current providers responsibilities back to the in-house Sompo team.
- **Local Market Education**:Educate and develop best practices in local markets.
- **Alignment with Sompo’s Capabilities**:Ensure projects and practices align with Sompo's broader capabilities and strategic goals.
- **Portfolio Planning & Analytics Support**:Assist local teams with PML planning, enhance portfolio reporting through tailored analysis for decision-making, and support the development and refinement of pricing models.
- **Event & Model Management**:Manage event response activities outside the global process and conduct light-touch model validation to complement existing responsibilities.

**What you’ll bring**:

- **Portfolio Management Expertise**:In-depth knowledge of Catastrophe portfolio management, particularly for high-volume, small line size portfolios, as distinct from traditional transactional operations.
- **Technical and Analytical Skills**:Proficiency in managing complex technical data, with the ability to interpret analytics and guide market education.
- **Strategic Development**:Experience in developing and implementing best practices for portfolio management to support continuous improvement and efficiency.
- **Market Collaboration**:Strong capability to work with local and regional teams, providing guidance and education to enhance market understanding and alignment with strategic goals.
- **Technical Skills**:Proficient in catastrophe modelling tools, primarily RMS; strong command of SQL and advanced Excel skills for data analysis. Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
