**Shop background**:

- Located in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, we are a Japanese gift store specialising in products from the Tohoku (north-eastern) region of Japan, such as foods, gifts, and sake. We also provide services such as recommendations for sake, and tourism spots in the Tohoku region.
- We have also recently started a day bar, where customers can come and have a drink in the afternoon.

**Job responsibilities**:

- **Customer engagement**:Provide great customer service to all customers, including assessing customers needs and making recommendations, creating a friendly environment
- **Service**:Assist with setting and clearing tables at the bar, ensure all orders are fulfilled and served promptly
- **Sales**: Process customer orders and purchases using Point-of-Sale (POS) system
- **Product knowledge**: To learn and understand the products the store is selling to provide accurate information and recommendations
- **Events**: Participate and help organise events, such as food fairs, exclusive collaborations, and private events.
- + Any other duties assigned by the shift manager

**Requirements**:

- Must be fluent in Japanese
- Able to work at least 4 days a week for day and/or night shifts (Tues-Sat)
- Hold a valid working visa or waiting for a working visa (eg: work-holiday visa)
- Service oriented with high enthusiasm to serve
- Have great attention to detail and can multitask

**Recommended**:

- Relevant experience in the F&B or retail industry (But not necessary, you can learn as you go)
- Experience with social media (Primarily Instagram and Facebook)
- Experience/Familiarity with Canva, or other graphic design softwares

*Pay will start from $10-15 (depending on previous experience), but can increase as you become familiar with the job.
