Our client is a Japanese food manufacturing company. The main role of a Regulatory Affairs Manager is to handle regulations pertaining to products, such as functional ingredients, probiotics, peptides, pet foods/supplements, and infant nutrition.
This position will need to register/upkeep regulatory maintenance of functional ingredients/products in various APAC countries and assist our customers/partners in their regulatory queries related to functional ingredients and infant formula finished products.
This position also needs to monitor regulatory changes that will influence the changes of the regulations that concern us, and also influence opinion-making in industry organizations.
You will report to the Managing Director.
【What you will be working on】
- Ensures regulatory compliance for products in B2B and BtoC and develops regulatory strategies so as to achieve product registrations and our business goals on a timely basis in the APAC region.
- Act as a representative for relevant professional associations and major regulatory agencies and be involved in government agency inspections as needed.
- Maintains familiarity with the company's product ranges.
- Liaises and negotiates with relevant regulatory authorities and agencies.
- Keeps up-to-date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines.
- Visit customers with the sales team and explains relevant regulatory framework and information, and attend relevant shows and industry meetings.
- Coordinate and conduct training for company employees on new regulatory topics
- Collaborate with other departments such as B2B sales team, B2C sales team, Development & Application team, HQ in Japan and other related entities in the US, EU and Asia whenever necessary.
- Contact key contact persons in Japan HQ for any necessary data to complete the reports upon customers' request or for projects.
- Review and approve Marketing/Sales materials and information for the company's products within regulatory boundaries.

- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Food or nutrition-related areas
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant regulatory experience
- Technical ability to independently design and execute regulatory projects
- Excellent interpersonal and network skills to engage in building networks with trade and regulatory associations
- Customer service-oriented and works well with varied personalities
- Knowledge of food safety regulation
- Master in jurisprudence in Global Food Law would be added advantage.
- Commercially savvy and marketing oriented preferred
- **Working Hour**: 9:00 ~ 18:00
