DHL Express Global Head Office has an opening for **Global SOP Project Manager** in the Global Network Operations function. The Global Network Operations Programs Group is committed to managing programs that enable DHL Express Network Operations to achieve standardized processes, service excellence and lowest operating cost. We target to do this by constantly reviewing and enhancing the “Network Operations Tool-Kit” and delivering value driven software and standards within budget and on schedule.

The **Global SOP Project Manager** helps to ensure the process standards and associated business rules are updated, published, reviewed and revised as and where necessary.

The role requires a sound understanding of operational processes as well as project knowledge and comprehension on how current and future changes will fully support Network Operations in achieving the goals and objectives set. This includes management in terms of scope, costs, resources, and overall ability to deliver to objectives and goals. The role:

- Take strong ownership of specific business process areas and the development road map to achieve both tactical and strategic objectives.
- Lead and/or direct, manage and implement specific projects relating to Global Network Operations Programs. Responsibility includes ensuring that projects, both business and IS related, are completed on time, within budget and capable of producing positive results on operations performance and quality based on, where applicable, the defined business cases.
- Identify, champion, develop and coordinate projects and programs, in areas of Global Network Operations to drive operational efficiency, safety and operational cost improvement ensuring that performance meets customer and Network expectations.
- Drive resolution of any notified or identified problems impacting service in conjunction with the countries, regional and global functions.
- Is a primary liaison contact and facilitator for Global SOP Network Operations.

**YOUR TASKS**
- Participate in global workgroups and project boards in support of the achievement of the initiatives goals.
- Define business requirements, including changes to current processes and systems to ensure business needs are met and enhanced.
- Lead and manage the deployment of solutions that meet the Company goals and/or change requirements.
- Provide specialist process support and leadership to global and regional functions in the resolution of process, systems and service performance issues including the introduction of improved work practices.
- Coordinate globally for the development implementation of solutions ensuring appropriate technical, operational and training.
- Interface with external customers and vendors, where required.
- Contribute to the development and communication to manage the overall direction of the domains’ Ops toolkit and strategy.
- Ensure the project’s direction and progress is communicated to all stakeholders.
- Work with functional experts and workgroups in defining appropriate solutions for project.
- Ensure that external stakeholders are consulted on direction, progress, goals and project issues.
- Set up the project and relevant project organisation with the support of the Domain leadership.
- Plan the development, implementation and execution of the project once it has approval to proceed.
- Manage business and project risks, including the development of contingency plans according to the needs of the projects being managed.
- Act as a troubleshooter when requested, to provide advice and support to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the agreed specifications.
- Participate where necessary in centrally delivered user training to ensure users are fully capable of using the new processes and systems to the optimum level.
- Conduct/ facilitate (where necessary) reviews to assess the success of the project.
- Report regularly on project progress.
- Use the learning and information sharing environment (ishare) so that project, services, solutions and best demonstrated business practices, can be shared and reused across the region.
- Work within a culture and demonstrate Respect and Results Focussed behaviour plus quality, service excellence, flexibility and cost consciousness ensuring the project is executed to DHL Expresses standards.
- Plan, organise and lead an efficient and effective project.
- Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff within the projects budget to the achievement of project objectives and targets.
**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience including at least 2 years as a Project Manager.
