Job Description:

As a Publisher Partnerships Intern with the Publisher Partnerships team in APAC, you will be responsible for supporting the team to collaboratively manage publisher relationships, discover hidden gems on the network and conduct market research to identify and recruit new publishers to the network. You will work as part of the team whilst also being tasked with creative projects that you will be able to drive independently, delivering a powerful help to continuously grow Rakuten’s presence in existing and developing markets across Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities:

- Run regular review of publishers registered to the network to identify high-potential ones and make contact to activate
- Conduct market research in various markets across Asia to identify potential new publishers and work to onboard on the network
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with publishers
- Take the lead in executing assigned smaller-scale projects within the portfolio, from inception to completion
- You have a strong relational and a commercial aptitude.
- You are proactive and sufficiently organized to manage several projects.
- You are self-resourceful, eager to learn and highly motivated.

Skills and Experiences:
Personal effectiveness:

- Comfortable using Excel.
- Ability to learn PowerPoint and Rakuten Advertising tools and processes.
- Highly organised.
- Proactive - continually looking to improve own role and that of your clients.
- Inquisitive approach to continuously learning on the job.
- Responsiveness - acknowledging tasks within 24 hours.

Communication:

- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

Results focus:

- Detail-orientated.
- Proof that you can work towards a deadline.

Teamwork
- Ability to work well as a team and prioritise your workload based on company’s goals.
- Be able to share progress and updates on tasks with your team.

Understanding of business
- Proficient understanding of the online advertising sector.

Good to have:

- Existing understanding of affiliate marketing and influencer strategies
- Interest in digital media
- Secondary language covering any regions in APAC
- Media production skills
