About the team
The User Growth team plays a core role in the acquisition, activation, and retention of billions of users through our globally popular products such as TikTok, Resso, CapCut, Helo, etc. We are building platforms, leveraging data & ML models, and providing end-to-end solutions to power the global growth of products.
The role:
We are looking for a talented, self-directed Music Licensing Specialist, you will coordinate the acquisition of music licenses on a variety of projects, to meet the musical needs of the production and marketing teams.
What you will be doing:
1. Work with third-party vendors to proceed with music license procurement for TikTok product lines based on the service agreements to improve licensing efficiency and budget utilization;
2. In charge of music budget allocation, music ingestion/synchronization, copyright monitoring, invoicing process, and spending management to optimize the rate of progress;
3. Collaborate cross-functionally on music copyright organization in order to efficiently extend the User Growth music library;
4. Execute and follow up internal music platform new product onboarding process;
5. Support commercial & monetization music direction strategic process execution;
**Requirements**:
**What you should have**:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the music licensing field.
- Proven track records of business negotiation logic and skills with external suppliers and vendors.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively manage key internal stakeholders’ expectations and clearly articulate risk/benefits analyses along with recommended solutions for challenging legal and business issues.
