Roles & Responsibilities

An established chemical manufacturing company in Jurong has an immediate vacancy for:
**TECHNICAL CHEMIST**
- The Job_
- Responsible to generate, maintain and update Safety Data Sheet, Technical Data Sheet, and Globally Harmonized System for existing and new products.
- Qualifying alternate/new material source for procurement and production use.
- Develop and improve existing formulas and products.
- Safety foam testing and issuing testing reports to customers.
- Revision of QA ISO, OHSAS, and other legal procedures to reflect current practice.
- Updating QA testing procedure, compiling and analyzing statistical data for improving efficiency and reducing wastage.
- Setting up lab-blend to develop product specification, formulation, and manufacturing procedure for new products.
- Assist QC chemist in day-to-day QC testing when there is a need due to overloading or leave of absence.
- Carrying out any reworks of substandard materials that are not meeting specifications.
- Executing investigation to products’ complaints and recommending corrective actions.
- Implementing new/revised quality procedures including calibration and general maintenance/repair of equipment and a good working environment.
- Revision of HARC and Aspect, Impact study on new equipment and processes.
- Procurement of laboratory supplies and instruments.
- Manage and recommend disposal of laboratory waste.
- Recommend disposal instrument that is beyond repair.
- Maintain and manage all test instruments and equipment.
- Requirements_
- Diploma / Degree
- Min. 2 - 3 years relevant experience.
- Good organization, communication & interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and resourceful.**_
