The Startup Segment Sales Operations & Strategy team is building the future of sales. Our team is responsible for supporting the rapidly growing Startup Sales business, from Sales Leaders to Solutions Architects and everything in between. We are obsessed with delivering results for customers and supporting sales organizations to shape the direction of the business. We are a diverse, innovative team which loves translating data, insights, and anecdotes into action (and success).
We are seeking a Central Sales Ops Lead to join our APJ team. This role can be based in any Amazon office location across ASEAN, ANZ, Korea and Japan. They will work with cross-functional stakeholders to invent, implement and manage tools and mechanisms that enhance our Field Sales Operations teams' productivity. The Central function's scope spans APJ, serving the nine areas, and owns coordination with other Central Teams (in APJ and WW) to ensure our team is well represented in tool, platform and process development.
Key job responsibilities
- Invent and develop new mechanisms that make it easier to execute sales planning and operations projects that are common across our EMEA Areas. Examples include account moves, forecasting updates, and top deals reviews.
- Own the project management for Startup Segment APJ's annual sales planning process.
- Complete data analysis and modelling projects which span APJ Areas. Be resourceful and use our reporting and database tools to understand issues and recommend solutions.
- Develop detailed work and resource plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports.
A day in the life
Your work spans across APJ, so you spend a lot of time meeting with our respective Field Sales Ops Leads to understand their common pain points and challenges. You also interact with APJ leadership to identify workflow and process pain points for their teams. You love inventing and frequently create new mechanisms and processes which help us deliver more as a team. You go above & beyond by taking on projects which have worldwide scope.
- Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
- Experience at a Startup
- SQL skills or the desire to learn advanced query and data manipulation skills
