Singapore NTU (Nanyang Technology University- Main Office-HR) Full time

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for running the Small/Wide Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS/WAXS) facility and the thin film XRD. The role mainly covers instrument management, user support in terms of training, and consultation, to enable a broad user base to use the machines efficiently and safely.
- Conduct maintenance on the above machines, liaising with vendor engineers and trouble-shooting regular problems and issues.
- Conduct data analysis related to SAXS/WAXS and thin film XRD experiments.
- Deliver courses on SAXS/WAXS and thin film XRD covering introductory and topical or advanced courses that are relevant for facility users.
- Organise workshops and conferences to provide support for users, in collaboration with external vendors and other organisations.
- Fulfil any other assigned duties as needed.

**Job Requirements**
- PhD in Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Proficient in conducting SAXS/WAXS analysis in transmission and in grazing incidence (GISAXS/GIWAXS). Additional experience related to thin film XRD analysis such as X-ray reflectivity (XRR), crystal orientation mapping and high resolution XRD, are highly beneficial.
- Experience doing in-situ measurements, including but not limited to heating/cooling will be a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Excellent command of written and verbal English.
- Capable of working collaboratively in a team as well as independently
