[What the role is]

Senior Manager, Payment Analytics & Controls

[What you will be working on]

The Payment Analytics & Controls (PAC) Division in LTA Finance Group processes and accounts for LTA’s expenditures, GST input tax returns, AP accruals; the division also runs payments-related data analytics and automation projects.

The Senior Manager of the Division reports to the Deputy Director of PAC and the Division is part of the Strategic Financial Management Sub-Group.

Key responsibilities include:
a) Guide and manage a section in PAC to ensure timely and accurate payments. This includes daily ops, month-end/year-end activities, audit-related matters, with opportunity to include tax reporting matters, vendor data management, etc.

b) Lead the section in monthly and year-end closing activities and audit matters related to AP.

c) Establish effective governance through instituting effective financial policies and internal controls, and ensure robust process and rules documentation of financial procedures within and/or beyond Finance.

d) Lead the section in achieving operational effectiveness and efficiency via timely implementation of a mix of automation (Python / UIPath) and process streamlining initiatives. May include guiding team members to craft submissions to senior management and/or Board to seek approval and buy-in for key process changes.

a) Work closely with the other managers of the PAC team in continuous improvement projects, which may include whole-of-government systems or workstreams initiated by MOF/AGD.

b) Plan for and nurture staff development and instil team pride in the delivery of outcomes.

[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in Accountancy or member of a recognized body of professional accountants with relevant professional accounting qualification.
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience
- Possess good knowledge of Statutory Board - Financial Reporting Standards, financial/tax regulations, and risk assessment / internal controls
- Strong problem-solving skills, independent and resourceful.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to interact across different stakeholder groups and seniority levels
- Meticulous and proficient in mínimally Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Hands-on experience in SAP Financials, HR Workday, data analytics and/or data visualisation will be advantageous.
