This is a leadership position that will report to the Chief Executive Officer. The Financial Controller is to ensure the Company’s financial health and is responsible for financial planning and analysis, reporting and internal control. Financial reporting includes financial reporting to management and the board of directors, as well as compliance with government regulations.
**Responsibilities**:
- As a member of the senior management, the financial controller will play an important role in the development, implementation and management of business plans and strategies to support the Company’s vision.
- Work closely with the different cross functional teams, you are expected to support the businesses/functional heads on strategy of growth, budgeting/forecasting, responsible for driving the financial and business analysis as well as operations and costing analysis. This is a business-oriented role where you will participate proactively in reviewing and recommending effective business practices.
- Perform group reporting, group consolidation accounts, monthly management and financial reports, annual budgets, rolling forecasts and trends.
- Drive and manage sustainability reporting.
- Execute and monitor the financial strategies and decisions to improve profitability, cash flow and cost control and optimise the Company’s operations, financial performance and strategic position.
- Review internal processes and internal controls to ensure compliance and that the financial systems and processes are robust and able to support current activities and future growth, and implement and manage the Company’s risk and compliance management framework.
- Review audit findings and ensure that all matters are addressed or resolved promptly.
- Manage the relations of external parties including auditors, bankers, tax advisors and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that processes meet the Company’s quality and regulatory requirements, and continuous attention to improvements and synergies are expected.
- Manage, evaluate and develop team of employees to meet functional deliverables and responsibilities.
- Uphold and demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Company’s core values and Code of Conduct and ensure that direct report(s) are trained on their knowledge and adherence to the Company’s core values, Code of Conduct, and applicable compliance and governance policies.
**The Successful Applicant**
- Must possess a degree in Accounting/Finance with at least 10 years of relevant experience; Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Strong leadership, driver, team-builder and high integrity.
- Possess an analytical mind and a keen interest in analysis coupled with a strong commercial acumen.
- Proactive and a problem solver who possesses excellent communication skills that will be required to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in Chinese will be an advantage.
