
Head of Membership and Sales

This gig is responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy, activities and systems to achieve revenue, sales and profit for Virgin Active Singapore. You will work closely with the National Membership and Sales Manager and Head of Marketing to deliver budgeted membership targets through sales and retention.
A day in the life
- Develop and implement an integrated sales and retention strategy (aligned with our group and local brand direction/strategy based on consumer insight, market intelligence and data) to achieve membership, revenue and profit margin projections.
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing to support and drive all marketing strategies, promotions and initiatives across the clubs.
- Monitor, track and achieve the minimum of an on-budget performance for both the number of sales and expected revenue across all clubs in Singapore.
- Lead the corporate sales and relationship strategy.
- Establish and grow key partnerships.
- Prepare and update sales budgets, regularly reporting on performance against target and providing variance analyses and revised projections.
- Recruit, train and champion a highly motivated, results focused sales and retention team.
- Build a team culture that reflects and delivers on the Virgin brand values of providing high quality customer service in a fun way.
- Maintain a results-focused, highly charged and motivated team spirit throughout the whole sales and retention team.
- Develop and maintain consistent training programs across the sales and retention team.
- Conduct regular appraisals and reviews with the Membership team and supporting the functions down to club level.
- Continually develop and refine the business systems processes and procedures to establish and maintain integrity.
- Champion the brand in corporate social responsibility and being a force for good.
- Provide leadership, direction and ongoing development to the Membership teams.

- You have a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant leadership, management and operational experience within a sales remit.
- You are able to rationalize sales figures and communicate straight forward ratios across the whole sales team and senior management to achieve all key areas of the budget
- You have aligned experience. You’ve gained breath across all aspects of sales and played a key role in digital transformation. You’re naturally commercial and know what it’s like to work with a high-profile consumer brand. You are wildly passionate about making exercise irresistible for as many people as possible. A+ for you.
