**Job Description Summary**: The Business Line Leader APAC - Power Transmission is accountable for the full P&L by destination of his/her region from Orders to Sales/OM/Cash. The Region Leader’s responsibilities cover all customer interactions and activities in the Region from ITO to OTR. The scope includes products and services business development, product/system qualification supported by Business Line’s, tendering, projects execution, Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Lean, EHS and customer satisfaction.

You will manage the business & resources of the region within the frame of strategy, annual Operating Plan and policies defined at Business Line level. Furthermore, you will also co-lead the actions for growth with Grid Solutions and Power Transmission and drive actions to meet P&L/cash monthly, quarterly and yearly targets, in full compliance with EHS and GE Values. Lastly, you will be responsible for the performance of the sites in the region, for costs, quality and on-time-delivery of these regional sites regardless of destination of sales.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Deliver operational results for the portfolio, including financial & market share objectives, managing key business financial performance indicators such as those on the operating statement and balance sheet.
- Deploy Business Line regional strategy in the region based on clear vision, understand competitors’ positions, provide SWOT analysis and implement appropriate organization. Contribute to the Grid Solutions and Business Line global strategy, particularly breakthrough actions for growth. Execute Go-To-Market strategy involving both direct and third-party channels to cover the market effectively.
- Create and deploy strategy in sales plans with the team to meet customer needs ahead of the competition. Drive business development across the Business Line portfolio for higher volume while maintaining overall margin for the region as per the Operating Plan. Promote customer relation, intimacy and satisfaction.
- Run the business “as you own it”. Be involved in decision making processes. Support, guide and motivate the team. Be the reference in management behavior.
- Lead people development across the region.
- Be fully compliant with Grid Solutions and Business Line instructions.
- Contribute and lead actions as per the BL strategy.
- Own P&L and cash responsibility for the region. Prepare budget, including cost-out / savings actions and follow-up. Ensure monthly reports with action plans, mitigation plans and recovery plans. Ensure cash management. Comply with internal control kits and instructions. Manage CAPEX.
- Turn the strategy into the operational mode. Execute projects.
- Promote quality policy, monitor quality KPIs and develop customer satisfaction. Implement and ensure compliance with all instructions for tender approval, project execution and project reviews. Build mitigation plans when deviations occur. Ensure kick-off and contract closing meetings. Implement sourcing strategy and ensure benefits from actions.
- Ensure participation to the Business Line governance meetings: weekly steerco, monthly R&O & push sales calls, monthly region calls with Power Transmission Leader and other steerco members, support and provide data to monthly projects portfolio management and reviews including anticipation of customer issues.
- Build, lead & coach a team of top talent individuals through Inclusiveness and creative employee engagement activities leading to a lean, fast, accountable & winning culture. Succession planning for critical roles in the organization and strong talent retention plan.
- Ensure good social climate and industrial relations.
- Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes in e-book and on site. Report or resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner.
- Drive strong integrity and compliance culture within the organization.
- Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and ensure full implementation in Business Line sites and at customers sites.
- Manage cross region selling in the region.
- Drive the performance of the sites of the region.
- Manage the costs of the sites in his/her scope and particularly fixed production costs and SG&A.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Preferably a technical degree.
- Minimum of 15 years of T&D, Power, Renewables or any related industry experience and Manufacturing experience.
- Sales Management & Strategy deployment experience preferred.
- Leading Large teams.

**Desired Qualifications & Experience**:

- Expertise required in: P&L management, customer relationships, team management and development, Global Supply Chain, Project management, orders & sales management.
- Sales development experience in the domain of Power Transmission and/or Electrification equipment and infrastructure.
